EDDS Q4 Oct-Dec 2021: Amphetamines and Benzos Were Most Prevalent Drugs at Denver Health MC

Background abstract image

The new EDDS Highlights & EHR Quarterly Results (Q4, Oct-Dec 2021) for Denver Health Medical Center indicate that amphetamines (29%) and benzodiazepines (25%) were the two most prevalent drugs in patients treated in the ED for a drug overdose October-December 2021. However, benzodiazepines were down from their highest level of 47% reached in April-June 2021. It is possible some of the benzodiazepines detected were administered in the ED.
