EDDS Q4 Oct-Dec 2021: Cocaine Reaches 6 Year Series High at University Hospital, Newark

Background abstract image

The new EDDS Highlights & EHR Quarterly Results (Q4, Oct-Dec 2021) for University Hospital (UH) in Newark, New Jersey, show that cocaine (37%) reached its 6-year series high October-December 2021, opiates (20%) approached their series low, and benzodiazepines (23%) receded from the 6-year series high of 35% reached in April-June 2021. It is possible some of the benzodiazepines detected were administered in the ED.
